The Sage 5 Lightweight’s injection-molded scales reduce weight while providing improved traction with a Bi-Directional Texture pattern, and this upgraded version features a blade crafted from Spyderco’s exclusive CPM SPY27 steel, developed in collaboration with Crucible Industries, offering enhanced performance through additional alloys and advanced manufacturing processes. Supported by a Compression Lock mechanism and nested stainless steel liners within fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales, the knife’s full-flat-ground blade maintains the signature cobalt-blue color of the CPM SPY27 family.
